I have had really incredible run-ins with people along my journey. One couple I met last week in Sapphire, NC really struck a chord with me and helped me out tremendously. I wish them nothing but good times and hope I can reciprocate their generosity one day.

Day 30
One month down. If you look at it in terms of weeks I was at four weeks on Sunday. In terms of days, today is day 30. I left Atlantic Beach, N.C. on April 16th. Tomorrow is the 16th of May. Whichever one you use, I am now pretty much, officially a month into my inaugural trek. Thanks for all the love and support! Keep it up and I’ll make the Globetrekkin’ name actually synonymous with Bo Bissett trekkin’ the globe!

Thank you Sapphire, NC
Day 6 in Sapphire: Now I know why this area is classified as a rain forest. A of yesterday, it had rained four out of the six days I have been here. Day 26: Fairies in the Land of Waterfalls, Sapphire, NC

I’m traveling across the country with all of my possessions strapped to a used bike. If someone has a belief, who am I to knock it down and say it’s ridiculous.

Waterfalls, Cold Weather, and Catch-Up in Cashiers, NC
Today I am sitting in a cafe in Cashiers, NC. This is the same place I sat yesterday. All day. I would love to get out and explore, but a few things are keeping me inside. The biggest being my arch-nemesis, Mr. Almost Freezing!

Riding the Blue Ridge Parkway
There were multiple things flying through my head as I took off on the road yesterday. The first was that I saw a big black bear in my buddy’s back yard. Another was what great time I had in Asheville. The others were the flood of emotions that hit me in one solid wave after another as I made my way up.
